Etihad to launch flights to Charlotte, US next summer

Etihad has announced Charlotte, United States (US) will be its newest addition to its network.


The Abu Dhabi, UAE-based airline reported it will launch flights between Abu Dhabi and Charlotte startging May 4, 2026.


Etihad will use its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft on the new route, which will be the airline's sixth destination in the US. The airline currently operates flights to New York-JFK, Chicago-O'Hare, Washington-Dulles, and Boston. Etihad will launch flights to Atlanta starting July 2.


“Charlotte represents a strategic addition to our U.S. network, unlocking direct access to one of the country’s most dynamic and fast-growing regions,” said Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer, Etihad Airways. “We’re excited to be the first airline from our region to serve this market, and we look forward to connecting more travellers to Abu Dhabi and beyond.” 


Charlotte will be the 17thdestination Etihad will add to its network this year (2025). Among the upcoming routes that will be launched by Etihad this year include Atlanta (July 2), Taipei (September 7), Phnom Penh (October 3), Hanoi (November 3), and Hong Kong (November 3).
